Congratulations to the Indiana varsity and JV quiz bowl teams, which both finished as runners-up in the Indiana County Academic League playoffs hosted by Indiana High School on Tuesday, January 23. The JV team beat West Shamokin in its semifinal match before losing to Armstrong in the championship. The varsity team earned wins against River Valley and West Shamokin before losing to Armstrong in the championship.
Varsity team members were Bella Antonacci, Ethan Coleman, Gavin Dunmyer, Zeke Thomas, and Ronald Wang. The JV team members were Vania Ali, Tim Birch, Max Julin, Bella Walker, and Isabella Yuha. Alternates included Matthew Lin Xu, Tristan Redinger, Ava Thomas, and John Trevorrow. Ronald Wang was named the team's MVP for answering the most questions correctly in the regular season. The team's advisor is Mr. Michael Bertig.
