Message from Principal McElheny

Greetings - it is an honor and privilege to serve the students, parents/guardians, staff and faculty of Indiana Area Senior High School!   Student learning, achieving, and wellbeing are the foremost goals among the cornerstones of our academic, arts, athletics, activities, and advising programming at IHS.  We are unwavering in our commitment to help, support, and guide our students to grow into promising and aspiring young adults who are college, career, and life ready.  We are grateful for our school community, and we thank you for providing us the opportunities to make a positive difference in the lives of our students.  We are Indiana Proud!

IUP STEAM Camp Flier

Free Robotics, Drones, and Exoskeletons STEAM Camp at IUP!

IUP is hosting a free summer camp in robotics and technology for students who are completing grades 8 to 11 from June 19 to 23, 2023. This camp, coordinated and presented by IUP faculty, offers regional students the opportunity to use IUP STEAMSHOP to design and build their own simple mobile robot. It also offers hands-on activities with drones and time to experiment with collecting safety and ergonomic data using exoskeletons. Students do not need any background or experience using the equipment or computer programming.

The camp is financed through funding IUP received in fall 2022 through the Southwestern Pennsylvania New Economy Collaborative-Build Back Better Regional Challenge grant and is free to participants.
