Recently, five students from Indiana High School traveled to Hershey, PA to attend and compete in the Pennsylvania HOSA State Leadership Conference where 2400 students attended and competed in a variety of healthcare related categories
HOSA is a national organization of students interested in becoming healthcare professionals and the following HOSA members competed in the following categories:
Julia Weber - CPR/First Aid
Billy Taylor - CPR/First Aid
Aidan Yurko - Occupational Therapy
Allison Lichtenfels - Dental Terminology
Tyler Yount - Sports Medicine
All five students advanced to the second round of testing or skills-based portions of their competition
This is the first year that HOSA is a club at IHS and there are currently 22 members
Advisors Mrs. Joy Dress and Mrs. Kayla Stewart are hoping to increase membership and raise money in order to help offset the cost for more students to attend the state conference next year
