The IASD Board of Directors would like to take a moment to reach out to our community regarding the recent protests including those conducted in downtown Indiana.

I am deeply troubled and saddened by the recent events in our country. It is intolerable to see the hurt that racism, hatred, and discrimination inflicts upon people of color.

As we work to provide continued support to all families during the extended school closure, we wanted to share an update on several items. The Indiana Area School District has developed plans for families to collect student belongings and return district-owned devices and materials.

To support you and your children we have created a common website that will serve as the central location for all distance learning activities for students in pre-k through fifth grade.

Click on the link below to access a series of resources for you to access during this school closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  This site was created by our Special Education Teachers at the Primary level.

IASD will be administering a survey to families in the near future to seek their input regarding the reopening scenarios for the next school year.

On Thursday, April 9, 2020, Governor Wolf and the Pennsylvania Department of Education ordered all K-12 schools and programs to be closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year.

Please visit our website to learn more about what IASD is doing preventatively to combat coronavirus. As of now, there are no confirmed cases in Indiana County.

The Indiana Area School District will conduct Kindergarten registration for the 2020-21 school year on May 4, 5, 6, and 7.
