Throughout the duration of the shutdown, we will be doing everything we can to ensure you are aware of what is going on and that your family is connected to your students’ classroom.

Pending Board approval, school would be in session on April 14 as well as the dates previously communicated (April 9, 13, and May 22), either physically or virtually.

Indiana Area School District will implement our continuity of education plan for students starting on April 2, 2020.

If you feel additional devices are needed for your family, please complete the following survey and follow any instructions that are sent to you as a follow-up. Please note that we have a limited supply of devices, so distribution will be prioritized according to genuine need.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Indiana Area Board of Directors will conduct a virtual Buildings/Grounds/Transportation/Finance committee meeting and a special board meeting on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 5:30 p.m.  You will have the opportunity to view it live via a link on our website.

Governor Wolf and the Department of Education (PDE) announced today that all schools in the Commonwealth will remain closed through at least April 6 as a result of the COVID-19 response efforts. The closure order could be extended beyond April 6 if necessary to save lives and stop the spread of COVID-19.

We are collecting information from our families to help us determine what type of distance learning option is most appropriate for our families. IASD has already surveyed our secondary students. Click below for a similar survey is being sent to families of elementary students. If at all possible, please complete the elementary survey by Monday, March 23rd.

Today, Governor Tom Wolf announced that all K-12 Pennsylvania schools will be closed for 10 business days effective Monday, March 16. (www.governor.pa.gov)

Due to inclement weather, IASD will be closed on Friday, February 7, 2020.
